Dan Berggren is a founding member and the Director of Blue Jay Basketball Club.

Dan's basketball roots go back to learning the game in Le Grand, Iowa where his father coached high school ball for many years. After high school, Dan continued playing basketball at the collegiate level. Dan has coached all levels of basketball from youth teams, AAU teams and at the high school level.

Dan's passion is giving all kids in the community the opportunity to play the game he loves. Dan spends his time focusing on skill development while incorporating life lessons on accountability, responsibility, unselfishness, persistence, commitment, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the discipline that come along with being successful at all levels.

Dan's devotion to the youth program has played a role that helped bring multiple state tournament appearances in recent years for the Bondurant-Farrar girls and boys high school programs; including the 2023 boys high school state championship title, which was the schools first state basketball championship since 1997.

Dan works tirelessly and gives many hours of his personal time to ensure the leagues, tournaments, and summer clinics run smoothly while ensuring funds are donated back into the basketball programs for future success in the Bondurant-Farrar community.
